News from NIA | Structures Workshop-II: Heritage Conservation and Adaptation

Heritage Documentation Workshop of Basel Mission structures in Mangalore. The workshop conducted by 2/3 studio compromised of lecture by Ar. Veena Choudhary on "Introduction to Heritage Conservation - Principles, Techniques and Overview on field of Conservation Architecture" followed by site documentation of heritage structures in KACES Campus, Balmatta by Ar.Veena, Ar.Kruthika Chillara and Ar.Nidhi Hegde K. The aim of the workshop was to sensitise upcoming batches of architects to understand and study the advanced structural, climatic and material knowledge represented in the architecture of the buildings and their relevance to form cultural identity and architectural model for typology of the said built.
