The Annual Sports Day of Dr. MRSM English Medium School was held on 10th December 2022. Ms. Lily Pais, Physical Education Teacher, Govt. High School, Attavara, Mangalore inaugurated the Sports Meet and administered the oath to the students to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship. In her address, Ms. Pais urged the students to make use of the sports facilities available in the school, as sports plays an integral part in the holistic development of a child.
Mr. Swaraj Shetty, President of the PTA advised the students to participate in all the events and to give in their best. Students participated in a number of events under the category of run, throw, jump and hurdles. A few sports events and lucky games were also organised for the parents.
The chief guest of the valedictory function, Mr Hari H, Principal, M Ramakrishna Punja ITI, Tapovana, Thokur congratulated the winners and encouraged the participants to do better next year. Principal of the school Ms. Shreelatha Rao expressed that she hoped to see her students take active part in the zonal level competitions of the CBSE, scheduled in the coming year. She mentioned that the school is volunteering to coach students daily for an hour, after school hours.
The PTA sponsored soft drinks to the gathering.
