News from KSHEMA | A program with the theme 'Creating hope through action' on the occasion of the 'World Suicide Prevention Day'

The Department of Community Medicine, KSHEMA organized a program with the theme 'Creating hope through action' on 7th September 2023 at the Epidemiological unit, KS Hegde Hospital on the occasion of the 'World Suicide Prevention Day' under the guidance of Dr. Rahul Hegde, Assoc. Professor, Community Medicine and Mr Ravi, Medical Social Worker.

The program focussed on raising awareness on 'suicide' - the warning signs, triggers, prevention & protective strategies and the importance of seeking professional help. Information about the iCall helpline number that provides support to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress was provided to the participants.
