Community Oral Health Program at Thokur School

The Department of Public Health Dentistry, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, in association with Padupanambur Gram Panchayat, conducted a free oral screening camp on 17th January 2024 at Dr. M Ramanna Shetty Memorial English Medium School, Thokur as part of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiative. The program aimed to raise oral health awareness among school children and reduce the oral disease burden, thereby improving community oral health. Participants were educated on maintaining proper oral hygiene, brushing twice daily with fluoridated toothpaste, consuming a nutritious diet and the importance of abstaining from tobacco products for a healthy lifestyle.
