The 162nd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated at Nitte Institute of Professional Education on 18th January 2024 to commemorate National Youth Day. The primary objective of the program was to foster a sense of purpose, responsibility and pride among the students by revisiting the teachings and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda.
Dr. Navdeep Barwal, Principal, Nitte Institute of Professional Education presided over the function. He urged the students to recognise the opportunities, take advantage of the same, self- empower themselves and contribute to the society. He recalled the famous speech of Swami Vivekananda at the World ‘s Parliament of Religions, Chicago in 1893 and informed the students that it was available on YouTube.
BCA and BBA students jointly organised a cultural program comprising of skit, dance and songs. They delivered remarkable speeches stressing on Swami Vivekananda's vision of harnessing one's inner strength & potential and taking charge of their lives and contributing to the nation's development.
