Community Glaucoma Awareness and Eye Health Program

 The Dept. of Community Medicine, K S Hegde Medical Academy organised a health awareness program on 7^th March 2024 at Ira Panjaje Anganwadi. Local families assembled at the Anganwadi were educated on glaucoma, its early detection, preventive measures and treatment options. Emphasis was placed on the importance of biannual eye check-ups, especially for individuals with comorbidities such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus, to promote timely diagnosis and management of glaucoma.
