News from NUINS | Guest lecture on Women's empowerment initiatives in India

The IQAC Criterion VII and Women’s Cell of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences organized a guest lecture as part of the Amrit Kaal - Vimarsh - Viksit Bharat 2047 public lecture series, on 6th March 2024 at the University Auditorium, Paneer campus. The theme was Rising Nari Shakti - Women Empowerment in India (Theme 4).

The program started with lamp lighting and invocation. Mrs. Latha S, Criterion VII Coordinator, introduced the chief guest, Dr. Gayathri N., Asst. Professor & Head, Dept. of Sociology, University College, Hampankatta and welcomed the gathering. Dr. Gayathri N spoke on gender parity, the value of women, ways for women to empower themselves, possibilities for women and men's roles.

Dr. Nalini M, Women’s Cell Coordinator delivered the vote of thanks. A total of 98 students and 3 faculty members attended the program.
