21 students from the second semester of Mechanical and Civil Engineering at NMAMIT visited the L&T Site, Adora De Goa, Vasco on 16th April 2024 as a part of the industrial visit initiative under the L&T Edutech Program. Dr. Melwyn R Castelino and Dr. Bhojaraja B. E, faculty members of NMAMIT accompanied the students during this industrial visit.
Upon arrival at the site, the visitors were welcomed by the officials and site Head of L&T, who provided them with a comprehensive overview of the safety precautions taken at the site, a detailed explanation of concrete mixture composition, reinforcement techniques, underground laying procedures, fire safety installations, as well as electric and plumbing installations. The team also visited completed flats to gain practical insights into construction techniques and quality standards.
The visit concluded with a detailed presentation on the design and installation of the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), offering valuable insights into environmental sustainability practices in construction.
