The Department of Pharmaceutics, NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences organized a Drug Delivery Symposium - DDS 2024 on 22nd & 23rd August 2024 at the Avishkar Auditorium, ABSMIDS to showcase how innovative delivery technologies are revolutionizing the pharmaceutical industry. The symposium commenced with an inaugural function graced by esteemed guests, Prof. Indrani Karunasagar, Director (Projects & NuTEC), Nitte (DU), Dr. C. S. Shastry, Principal, NGSMIPS; Dr. Marina Koland, Vice Principal & HoD, Pharmaceutics; Dr. R. Narayana Charylu, Vice Principal and HoD, Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance; and Dr. Indu Pal Kaur, HoD Pharmaceutics, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Punjab University.
Prof. Indrani Karunasagar delivered the keynote address. The inaugural event was followed by the release of an e-book of abstracts on the theme Drug Delivery Systems: Innovations in Nanotechnology, Biomaterials and Medical Devices. A total of 107 abstracts were released and 233 participants registered for the symposium from various pharmacy colleges of Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala.
The event concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. R Narayana Charyulu, Vice Principal, NGSMIPS.
