The Department of Public Health Dentistry, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, in association with the Department of PG Studies and Research in Social Work, Mangalore University and the Indian Cancer Society, conducted a free anti-tobacco and oral health awareness program on 30th December 2024 at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose High School, Deralakatte. The session focused on educating students about the harmful effects of tobacco, influence of the tobacco industry on children and measures to protect themselves from its adverse effects. Additionally, III BDS students performed a role play highlighting the theme “Awareness on Tobacco and its Ill Effects”, engaging students in an interactive learning experience.
