As part of the National Education Policy (NEP) curriculum, a study tour was organized from 2nd to 6th April 2025 for the final-year BSc Biomedical Science students. The primary objective of this educational tour was to provide students with practical exposure to cutting-edge research and laboratory practices in reputed scientific institutions. The itinerary included visits to several premier institutions, such as JSS College of Pharmacy and JSS School of Life Sciences, Ooty; Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysuru, University of Mysore, JSS School of Life Sciences, Mysuru.
Students had an enriching opportunity to interact with experienced scientists and faculty members, which allowed them to better understand the latest developments in the fields of pharmaceutical sciences, food technology and life sciences. In addition to exposure to ongoing research projects, the students were introduced to various sophisticated laboratory instruments and technologies. The tour also served as an excellent platform for networking and academic exchange. Students engaged in productive discussions with researchers and peers, which helped broaden their academic perspectives and possibly open up future opportunities in research and higher education.
The study tour was planned and coordinated by NUCSER faculty members, Dr. Sudarshan Kini, Dr. Divyashree, Dr. Akshatha and Dr. Deekshit, whose efforts ensured a smooth and memorable experience for all participants.
