News from NUINS | EDP on Smart Approach to Research Communication

An Executive Development Program titled “A Smart Approach to Research Communication: Innovate, Navigate, Knowledge” was organized on 10th June 2025 by the Dept. of Community Health Nursing in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council, Nitte University at the Learning Centre, NUINS to build research and academic competencies among students & faculty. The event commenced with an invocation and lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest & Guest Speaker, Adv. Jaspreeth Singh, Founder & CEO of IP Quad.

The first session led by Adv. Jaspreeth Singh focused on the process of obtaining copyrights & patents, providing participants with a thorough understanding of intellectual property rights in research. This was followed by a session on scoping and narrative reviews by Dr. Shalini G Nayak, Asst. Professor, Sr. Scale from Manipal College of Nursing which emphasized systematic approaches to scholarly reviews. The afternoon featured a hands-on session on AI tools for manuscript preparation and journal submission, conducted by Dr. Sneha Nayak, Asst. Professor Grade III from NMAM Institute of Technology.

Participants explored practical applications of AI to enhance research writing and streamline publication processes. A total of 53 delegates, including postgraduates, research scholars and faculty members, actively participated in the program.
