A drug addiction awareness program was organized on 27th June at Dr. NSAM Pre-University College, Mangaluru.
The event titled, “Stay away from Drug Addiction” was led by Sri. Anantha Padmanabha, Inspector, Kadri Police Station. He emphasized that the restless nature of young minds makes them vulnerable to various dangers, including substance abuse. He pointed out that habits such as smoking and drinking can lead to numerous health problems and negatively impact both the physical & mental well-being of young students. He urged students to remain vigilant and avoid falling prey to such addictions.
The program was organized by the NSS unit of the college. Dr. Naveen Shetty K, Principal presided over the event. In his speech, Dr. Shetty emphasized the importance of organizing awareness programs in educational institutions, as they play a vital role in preventing students from falling into addiction and suffering its harmful effects - both in their academic and personal lives.
