The NSS Cell of NUCSER organized a five-day special camp from 13th to 17th June 2025 at DK Zilla Panchayat Higher Primary School, Innoli, Ullal Taluk under the theme "Aatadinda Paata" focusing on moral, scientific, and social responsibilities. Throughout the camp, students actively participated in a variety of talks, workshops, activities and games, designed to build character and awareness.

Oral Hygiene aligning with SDG 3: Good Health & Well-Being.
On World Albinism Awareness Day, students were sensitized about albinism, highlighting the importance of inclusion, equality and respect for individuals with albinism.
Under SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), BMI checks were conducted
to assess students’ nutritional status.
SGD 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing), revealed that
nearly 48% were undernourished.
The third day, themed “A Day as a Scientist” aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education), featured student-led science model displays and practical sessions. Students
learned to detect common food adulterants and participated in blood group testing demonstrations led by NSS volunteers.
Various competitions such as drawing, quiz, essay
writing and science model exhibitions were also held to encourage creativity and
engagement.
The valedictory ceremony featured renowned theatre artist Mr. Kusumakara
Kumpala as the chief guest. He appreciated the unique structure of the camp, its focus on science & interactions, calling it inspirational for students' future. He also highlighted the role of youth involvement in social service for personal growth. Mrs. Nalini, Headmistress of
the school, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the NSS Cell of NUCSER. As part of their outreach activities, the NSS Cell donated an office cupboard and 30 kg of protein-rich grains to support
the school in combating malnutrition. Prizes were distributed to students who excelled in the various
competitions held during the camp.
