The Udupi District Amateur Athletic Association organized its Athletics Meet at the Mahatma Gandhi District Stadium, Ajjarkadu, Udupi on 15th & 16th August 2025 where young athletes showcased their talent and sporting spirit. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from athletes across the district, aiming to test their strength, skill and endurance.
Raghavendra R Naik (I BBA) won Gold in Javelin Throw and Bronze in Discus Throw, while Ajeya B Hegde (I BBA) secured Gold in Hammer Throw. Gururaj Nayak (I BCom) won Gold in the 800 m and Silver in the 1500 m, qualifying for the State-level competition
Continuing the winning streak, the athletes excelled in the Taluk-level Dasara Athletics Competition held at Taluk Stadium, Karkala on 17th August 2025, securing gold medals in the 800 metres and 4x400 metres relay, along with a silver medal in the 1500 metres event.
The series of achievements reflects not only consistency and endurance but also promising potential for higher-level championships.
