Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital observed World Patient Safety Day 2025 on 17th September 2025 with programs dedicated to raising awareness and strengthening the culture of patient safety.
The day began with a workshop conducted by the Department of Paediatrics, where faculty members Dr Swathi Shenoy, Dr Niharika Shetty, Dr Safwan GM, Dr Daniya Hameed and Dr Dhrithiman Shetty led interactive sessions on critical aspects of new born and child healthcare safety to our nurses.
The formal function had Prof (Dr) Suneel C Mundkur, Dept. of Paediatrics, KMC Manipal as the Chief guest and Prof (Dr) B Sandeep Rai, Dean, KSHEMA presiding over the function. Prof (Dr) Sumalatha Shetty, Medical Superintendent, welcomed the gathering. Prof. Mundkur shared his rich insights on pediatric care and patient safety, emphasizing the collective responsibility of healthcare professionals to safeguard every life.

A video, beautifully conveying the essence of this year’s theme “Safe Care for Every Newborn and Every Child” was presented. Prizes were then distributed to the winners of the E-Poster Competition. The program concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr Seema Pavaman S.
