The inauguration of Branch Associations & Student Activities for the year 2025-26 was held at Sadananda Auditorium, B.C. Alva Sports Complex, NMAMIT, Nitte on 30th August 2025.
The event was inaugurated by Er. Vijesh Kamath, Senior Manager, Cognizant Technology Solutions India, and an alumnus of the 2001-2005 batch of Mechanical Engineering, NMAMIT. Er. Kamath emphasized the importance of innovation, leadership and teamwork in shaping students’ careers. He urged the students to make the best use of opportunities provided through various branch associations and activities, as these platforms play a vital role in enhancing managerial and interpersonal skills.
Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT highlighted the growing need for continuous learning and skill development in today’s dynamic world. He appreciated the efforts of various departments in encouraging students to participate in association-led initiatives and called upon students to actively engage in such programs for holistic growth.
On the occasion, badges were distributed to the office bearers of 15 student branches, symbolizing the beginning of their responsibilities. Dr. Narasimha K Bailkeri, Dean (Student Welfare) administered the oath to the newly appointed student leaders.
The program began with a welcome address by Dr. Nagesh Prabhu, Vice-Principal, NMAMIT. Ms. Aishwarya introduced the chief guest. The event was compered by Mr. Mayur P and Ms. Sharanya Ganesh Hegde.
