The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of NMAM Institute of Technology (NMAMIT), Nitte, organized the inaugural event of its activities for the academic year 2025-26 on 3rd September 2025. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Vivek Alva, Managing Trustee, Alva’s Education Foundation, who in his address highlighted the importance of student participation in community service. He urged the students to go beyond academics and job-oriented goals by understanding real-world issues and making meaningful contributions to society.
Mr. Shashikumar Shetty, NSS Coordinator, Nitte University, encouraged the volunteers to organize a greater number of impactful activities during the year. Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal stressed the need for sustainability as a collective responsibility of every individual and wished success to the newly formed NSS team.
Dr. Dhananjaya B, NSS officer, NMAMIT welcomed the gathering. Ms. Spoorthi Bailoor compered the event and the NSS Student President Ms. Sharanya Kundar proposed the vote of thanks.
