The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology & Oral Microbiology, in association with the NSS Unit of ABSMIDS conducted an awareness program on “Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters 5.0” with the theme, Waste-to-Wealth on 24th October 2025 at Avishkar Auditorium.
The resource person was Dr. Sneha Nayak, Asst. Professor (Grade III), Biotechnology Engineering, NMAMIT, Nitte who delivered an insightful lecture on the topic “E-waste to E-Wealth: Transforming Trash into Tomorrow’s Tech.”
Prof. (Dr) Sreelatha SV, HoD, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology & Oral Microbiology and Institutional SDG Coordinator welcomed the gathering. Prof. (Dr) Suma Ballal, Dy. Registrar, Nitte University, emphasized the importance of organized e-waste management, while Prof. (Dr) Ravi M S, Vice-Principal, highlighted the significance of sustainable e-waste practices.
Dr. Kumuda Rao, NSS Coordinator, introduced the resource person and Dr. Avaneendra Talwar proposed the vote of thanks. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
Approximately 180 students participated in the awareness program.
