Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management hosted an engaging and thought-provoking guest session on 6th December 2025 for its students. The resource persons were Ms. Vidya Shenoy, Head, Talent Management & Talent Acquisition and Ms. Ashritha Shetty, Executive - HR, Manipal Payment & Identity Solutions Ltd.
The speakers offered deep insights into how modern organizations look beyond technical skills and academic qualifications when hiring decisions are made. They highlighted that the real foundation of effective training lies in selecting candidates with the right mindset, adaptability and learning orientation, rather than merely evaluating existing competencies.
The session also explored how Gen Z talent responds to development opportunities, emphasizing personalized learning pathways and experiential training. The interactive session allowed students to ask questions, understand real corporate expectations and gain clarity on what organizations truly value in emerging managers.
