The Nitte Institute of Hospitality Services celebrated National Tourism Day on 24th January 2026 to highlight the importance of tourism, sustainability and cultural heritage. The program was graced by the Chief Guest, Ms. Shalet Pinto, Chairperson, Karnataka Eco Tourism Development Board, who addressed students on the significance of eco-tourism and responsible tourism practices.
The celebration featured colorful cultural performances, including traditional dances representing different regions of India, showcasing the country’s rich cultural diversity. The event successfully created awareness among students about the role of tourism in economic growth and cultural preservation.
