An orientation program for the newly admitted students (2026-27 batch) of Dr. NSAM Pre-University College, Mangaluru was held on 23rd May 2026 at K S Hegde Auditorium.
Inaugurating the event, Chief Guest, Dr. Harsha Halahalli, Registrar, Nitte University emphasized that pre-university education is a critical turning point in a student's life. He encouraged students to look beyond just scoring marks and cultivate strong moral values and character. He further added that students must make the best use of the opportunities provided by the institution and strive towards achieving their goals with dedication and confidence.
Guest of Honour, Dr. Sandeep Rai, Dean, K S Hegde Medical Academy spoke about the vital role parents and teachers play in the educational journey, stressing that identifying and encouraging students talent should be a continuous process. He noted that in today's competitive world, hard work and discipline remain the primary key to success.
Dr. Naveen Shetty K, Principal, Dr. NSAM PU College, presided over the function. He warmly welcomed the new students and provided detailed information regarding college discipline, academic regulations and available facilities. He also introduced the faculty members to the parents and students.
The program also served as a platform to honor students who achieved outstanding results in the previous year's II PU board examinations.
