The Department of Biochemistry, KS Hegde Medical Academy organized a guest lecture titled “Multi-omics Approaches to Neurodegenerative Disease: From Synaptic Vulnerability to Blood-based Biomarkers” on 8th June 2026 at Lecture Hall 01, KSHEMA.
The session was led by Dr. Lathika Gopalakrishnan, Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Barrow Neurological Institute & St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center, Phoenix, USA. The lecture provided insights into emerging multi-omics approaches in understanding neurodegenerative diseases, exploring mechanisms of synaptic vulnerability and the potential of blood-based biomarkers in disease research and diagnosis. The guest lecture which included an academic interaction and knowledge exchange in the field of neuroscience and molecular research, was attended by 100 delegates.
