Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy, in collaboration with the 6 KAR Naval Unit NCC (9/6 Navy Nitte University) celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day. Aligning with this year's crucial global health theme, "Yoga for Healthy Aging," the event aimed to highlight the preventative, restorative and rehabilitative benefits of yoga in maintaining functional mobility, balance and quality of life across the lifespan.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, NCC cadets and physiotherapy students. The formal function commenced with a presidential address delivered by Prof. (Dr) Dhanesh Kumar K U, Principal, NIPT where he emphasized the global significance of the International Yoga Day and its rich historical importance.
Dr. Navyatha delivered a brief presentation on yoga and its importance. The session had 35 student participants who were systematically guided through a diverse variety of yogic Asanas.
