A report by the participants:
We reached Hyderabad on 19th February, 2015 after preparing well for the grand finale. The event was on 20th February, 2015 so we had one more day for our final preparation which we used well. On 20th February, we took IPE’s college bus from Medhipatnam and reached the venue at 9:00am. We registered ourselves and waited for the event to start. The inauguration started at 10:30am. Prof. H Hemanth Rao, Dean of IPE welcomed the gathering. Then Dr. Prarthana Kumar, Coordinator of Ankur spoke about Ankur and how it started. Rules of the game were told by Mr. Anubhav Tiwari, Student Coordinator of Ankur. After the inauguration there was a small tea break and then we started with the presentations. We sat patiently and listened to every presentation carefully. Each team was given 15 minutes for speaking and 5 minutes for Questions & Answers by Jury members. Most of the participants were Law, Business or Finance students. Our presentation went very well and Q&A round was satisfactory.
We were waiting with our fingers crossed and when our name was called for the first prize, we jumped with joy. We received a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 as our first prize. The jury member consisted of V. Ramana, scientist and angel funder, Hema Jain, CEO of CRUX and Nanditha Sethi, Founder of Ankur. We returned on 21st February, 2015 with lots of good experience and determination to build our own product. We thank our college authorities for supporting us and especially Prof. Shalini K. Sharma, Dr. C Vaman Rao and Prof. R K Sharma for guiding us. We hope to achieve many more laurels and bring honour to our college.
