National Conference at the Institute on December 29-30, 2015 - JKSHIM

Development is a fundamental concept. It involves a fundamental question. Development has many connotations. Development that we see today is just one part of civilization. It is not the whole, just a part. To perceive the development in its fullest sense, one needs to develop an integrated frame of thinking. For this, philosophical writings can be of great use. Evolution and Development will go hand in hand. If we leave the understanding of the meaning of development to our commonsense, we appreciate better the real implications of development, said, Shri Tusar Nath Mohapatra , Director, Savithri Era Learning Forum, Gaziabad. He was delivering the inaugural speech after inaugurating the Seventh National Conference on the theme “Ethics and Governance in Management” at the Institute. Shri Shankar Jaganathan, Founder and CEO, CimplyFive Corporate Services Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, while delivering the keynote address, he stressed the need to understand self by an individual. He made a distinction between Ethics and Morality by quoting examples from history and civilization. He also said that Ethics has its own continuity. Morality lacked this. He pointed out that governance principles started with the limited liability concept of the company. Dr. N K Thingalaya, Chairman, Academic Council of the Institute presided over the inaugural session. Dr. K Sankaran, Director of the Institute welcomed the gathering. Dr. G V Joshi, Professor and Convener of the National Conference briefed about the conference. Dr.Sudhir Raj K compered the program. Shri Tusar Nath Mohapatra , Director, Savithri Era Learning Forum, Gaziabad delivering the Inaugural Speech.
