The Department of Central Research Lab organized a Invited lecture, "Guest Lecture On -"Dietary Management of Diabetes, Cardio Vascular Disease, Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease, Dyslipidemic, Management of Visceral Fat” by eminent Nutritionist Dr. Praveen Jacob on 21-05-2016 at Lecture hall 5 , K.S.Hegde Medical Academy, Deralakatte, Mangalore.
Dr. Praveen Jacob BNYS, MS (University of Connecticut, USA) motivate, educate and inspire individuals and groups to choose the right kind of good habits and indulge more people in physical activities for preventing life style related diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and obesity by using the principle based on his own life experience and science. During his talk he addressed on the topic related on adverse effect of junk food on heart disease, prevention and management of Diabetes through diet and exercise, prevention of Cancer. He also spoke on How visceral fat is related to development of Dyslipidemia, insulin resistance, how to control cellular inflammation balancing eicosonooids or OMEGA 3 to OMEGA 6 ratio etc., All staff , Post graduates and Research Scholars motivated during the session.
