NMAMIT celebrates world environment day

NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte had organized World Environment Day 2016 on 6th of June, 2016 . It was celebrated by planting saplings of Biofuel plants like Honne, Simauruba, Hippe around the NET campus, Nitte. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar, the Principal, NMAMIT Nitte by planting Honne sapling near the newly built B.C. Alva Sports Complex, Nitte. He appreciated the initiatives taken by the staff and students of the Department of Biotechnology for the concern towards nature. During the programme Vice Principals Dr. I.R. Mithanthaya, Dr.Shreenivasa Rao B.R, Registrar of NET Campus Prof.Yogesh Hegde, Sri Aravinda Hegde, Sri Shekhar Poojary, Dr. C. Vaman Rao Prof. & Head of BT Department, Staff & students of BT department, staff of Udupi district Biofuel information and demonstration centre, Nitte were present. Later, students and staff of Biotechnology department under the leadership of Dr. C. Vaman Rao planted about 120 saplings around B.C. Alva Sports complex.
