World no tobacco day - KSHEMA

The Department of Psychiatry organized a Public Awareness Program, "World No Tobacco Day" on 31-05-2016 at Department of Pulmonary Medicine, KSHEMA.

The department of Psychiatry in association with Department of Pulmonary Medicine observed 31st May-2016 “WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY”.Dr. Satheesh Rao, Prof. & Head, Department of Psychiatry, KSHEMA welcomed the audience and talk about the importance of observation of “World No Tobacco Day”. He also briefly explained how tobacco effects your brain, mouth, heart, lungs, skin and muscles. He concluded the session by explaining the dangers of smoking and how to avoid and quit smoking. Dr.Rajesh, Sr. Resident, Dept. of Pulmonary Medicine, KSHEMA explained about the chemical composition of Tobacco and Tobacco Smoking . Around 35 patients benefitted by this.
