NSS unit of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences, Nitte University organized a Special Camp from15-10-2017 to 21-10-2017 at Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayath Primary School, Pavoor. On this occasion Vice Chancellor of Nitte University, Dr. S. Ramananda Shetty inaugurated the camp on 16-10-2017 and highlighted the importance of NSS in student life which will enable them to socialize and build up harmonious relationship and also expressed his concern about the drastic reduction of students in government schools. Prof. Dr. Fatima D Silva, Principal, presided over the programme. Chief guest, Shri. Firoz Malar, President, Pavoor Grama Panchayath, spoke on this occasion and he assured that all possible help will be provided by the Pavoor Grama Panchayath for the success of the camp. Nitte University NSS programme Coordinator, Dr. Sumalatha R Shetty, SDMC president, Shri. Narayana, CRP Konaje limits, Smt. Suguna, Pavoor ward member Smt. Ravikala, School Headmistress, Smt. Laveena D Souza, Old students Association president, Shri. Balakarishna, Vice Principal, Prof. Sabitha Nayak, Panchayath member Shri. M.P Hasan and Shri Vivek Rai were present on this occasion. Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences, NSS Programme officers, Mrs. Suchithra BS welcomed the gathering and Mrs. Cleeta Pinto proposed the vote of thanks.
