Nitte faculty Mrs. Juliet Mohanraj wins award from National Academy of Sciences, USA

In an era of interdisciplinary research, international collaborations and rapid technological advances, it is essential to promote excellence in Life Science research by training research personnel in all disciplines. The US National Academy of Sciences, in collaboration with the Academy of Sciences, Malaysia is organising a Regional Conference to Promote Safe and Secure Science in the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia between February 5-9, 2018. The conference will focus on One-Health research, next generation diagnostics, surveillance, genome editing and emerging infectious disease viewed through the lens of responsible science, ethics, research integrity, and public engagement. Ms. Juliet Mohan Raj, Lecturer, Nitte-Centre for Science Education and Research has been selected at a national level for her excellent research and invited to present her work at this prestigious conference. The process of selection was very stringent and went through three rounds of scrutiny, informed Prof. Indrani Karunasagar, Director (R&D), Nitte, who had nominated her candidature. Her participation has been fully taken care of through the award. It is a matter of pride as a Nitte faculty has been chosen at national level for this honour, said the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary.
