The Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, NMAM Institute of Technology organised a mini project exhibition recently for the students of 2nd and 3rd year in New Industry Powered Automotive Laboratory under the leadership of Prof. Grynal D’Mello, Prof. Dilip Kumar K and Prof. Krishnaprasad. The themes of exhibited projects were Automotive Electronics, Mechanisms of Kinematics of Machines and Models of Automotive Sub Systems. It was an attempt made by the Department to focus on interdisciplinary projects related to Mechatronics (Automotive Electronics), beyond the syllabus. 20 Automotive Electronic projects, more than 30 kinematics models and 10 automotive models were developed and presented by the students with great interest and enthusiasm. Professors from different departments visited and complimented the work done by the students. This event was supported by Dr. Shashikantha Karinka, HoD, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering and Dr. Niranjan Chiplunkar, Principal. The recent sensor technologies used in modern vehicles were displayed by the students, thereby showcasing their talents in a totally new area.
