Mr.Ankith clears ‘CEED 2018’ - NMAMIT

NMAMIT is extremely delighted to share the success story of a final year student from the department of Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Ankith C has qualified in CEED-2018 an entrance exam to get into IITs for M.Des program. Mr. Ankith has secured 259th rank with a CEED score of 49.58 in open category in the All India level entrance test.



The objective of the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) is to assess the candidate’s aptitude for design, involving visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity, communication and problem solving skills. CEED is conducted by IIT Bombay as a qualifying examination for admission to Master of Design (M.Des) programs at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur and IIT Kanpur and for Ph.D programs in Design at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur.

CEED- 2018 was conducted on 20th January, 2018 in 21 cities across the country. A total of 6423 candidates had registered and 5507 candidates appeared for the exam. Of these, only 1003 candidates qualified in the entrance exam. The top 3 candidates were Ms. Afshaar from Bengaluru with CEED score of 77.53; Ms. Himani Abhay Deshpande from Thane with CEED score of 75.08 and Mr. Akshay Arvind Kamthe from Pune ranked third with a CEED score of 71.42.
