The Student Council Inauguration & Fresher’s Day was celebrated on 15th September, 2018 at KSHEMA Auditorium. The program started with a prayer song by Ms. Chaithanya, II BPT. Dr. Purusotham Chippala, Assoc. Professor, NIPT welcomed the gathering. Prof. Dr. G. Shreekumar Menon, Registrar of Yenepoya University addressed the gathering and led the oath taking of the office bearers for the academic year 2018-19. Prof. Menon narrated a beautiful story which emphasised that simplicity and contentment in life hold the key to happiness.
Prof. Dhanesh Kumar K. U, Principal, NIPT delivered the presidential address and urged the students to know their purpose in life, grow to reach their maximum potential and thereby attain success. He recited a Sanskrit shloka to motivate the students and advised them to practice humility.
The Council Co-ordinators distributed relevant badges to the newly appointed student’s council members. The Chief guest distributed mementos to the fresh batch of BPT & MPT. Ms. Sayunktha Anchan, General Secretary of the Student Council addressed the students and requested them to extend support to the Student Council members in carrying out their responsibilities during their tenure.
The Vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs Saumya Srivastava, Asst. Professor and Staff Advisor of the Student Council. Ms. Josline Monteiro, IV BPT was the Master of Ceremony for the event. After the inaugural function, Fresher’s day was celebrated by the students with various cultural activities. Ms. Isabella Haas & Mr Temjen were chosen as Miss Fresher & Mr. Fresher respectively. The program concluded with dinner being served to all the students.
