“Pharmacists: Your Medicines Experts”, the theme for this year‘s World Pharmacists Day emphasizes the fact that today’s pharmacist has not remained just a “pill-vendor” but has become an integral part of the healthcare delivery system. Achieving the noble objective of better patient health is next to impossible, without the extensive and expert intervention of the pharmacists. To drive home this message to the public, a rally was organized by NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Deralakatte, Mangalore on 25th September, 2018. Over 750 students, teaching and non-teaching staff along with the Principal of the college participated in the rally which was flagged off by Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice Chancellor, Nitte (Deemed to be University) and the Chief Guest Mr. Shankar Naik, ADC, Mangalore.
