The Students and Staff of A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore organized a Children’s Day program “UDAAN” at Sneha Sadan, Gurupura, Mangalore on 10.11.2018.
Sneha Sadan is a 65 bedded care center for people living with HIV infection. Sneha Sadan shelters about 40 children who are fully and partially orphans and about 25 adults who are on treatment and end of life care.
The team was headed by Dr. Sahana Maben. The team of III B.D.S. students led by the student council members (Yodha) entertained the children and residents with songs, instrumental music and dance. They also conducted several games for the children.
The winners were awarded prizes and complimentary gifts were distributed to all the children of Sneha Sadan. This ‘sharing & caring initiative’ of A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences brought smiles on the faces of children, who were living without hope. Thus, a meaningful Children's Day was celebrated.
