The three-day annual cultural fest, “Goonj” 2K19 was held at NUCSER with great fervor and enthusiasm from 18th to 20th of March 2019.
A formal function marked the inauguration of GOONJ2K19 on 18th March, 2019. Prof Santhosh Rebello, Dean of the School of Information Technology & Bioinformatics, Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology, was the chief guest for the event and Prof Dr.Indrani Karunasagar, Director R&D Nitte University and NUCSER presided over the function.
The students were divided into four groups namely, Raag, Taal, Dhun and Swar and they competed as teams for the individual and group events. On 18th March, group events such as ice breaker, mock press, lip sync battle, dance off, mad add and variety competitions were held where the talent of each group was in full display. On 19th March, other events such as face painting, creative writing, talk the fact, poster making, costume designing, debate and treasure hunt were held. NUCSER celebrated the Traditional Day on 20th March, where all the students, Ph.D scholars and staff dressed in traditional attire and competed for the titles of ‘best dressed male’ and ‘best dressed female’. The event showcased talents of over 275 students and 17 staff members.
