Workshop on Women Empowerment - KSHEMA

An interactive workshop on Women Empowerment was jointly organized by the Gender Sensitization Cell, Nitte (Deemed to be University) and Women's Cell, KSHEMA on 13th September 2019. Ms Avni Bhatia, Trainer “Josh Talks” Delhi, was the resource person. The workshop focussed on “Know Your Rights” and addressed issues like fundamental rights, the concept of gender equality, cyber safety, the POCSO Act among others. Around 180 students, both male and female attended the session. Dr Lakshmi Manjeera, Chairperson of the KSHEMA Women's Cell and Ms Archana, Coordinator, Department of MLT, were present. Dr Shailaja Moodithaya, Chairperson of the Gender Sensitization Cell, welcomed the delegates. Dr Varsha Shetty, member of the Women's Cell, KSHEMA, delivered the vote of thanks.
