News from NMAMIT | Indo-Japan Bination Seminar on Biomedicine & Biotechnology at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte

The Department of Biotechnology Engineering, NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte, in association with the Faculty of Medicine, University of Miyazaki, Japan organized 'Sakura Science Student Online Exchange Program' on 28th February 2022 for the students of BE in Biotechnology Engineering, NMAMIT.

During this online knowledge exchange program, five expert lectures on the topics related to 'Biophysical Techniques for Biomedical Research Skill Improvements', Student Ideathon presentations and a virtual lab visit to University of Miyazaki were organized. The expert lectures on Biomedicine and Biotechnology were delivered by the faculty of University of Miyazaki and Nitte Deemed to be University, Dr. Nozomi Watanabe, Dr. Kaoru Ohe, Dr. Bethasawi P, Dr. Radha Madhyastha, Dr. Praveen Kumar Shetty and Dr. Shyama Prasad S.

This event with the theme 'Indo-Japan Bination Seminar on Biomedicine & Biotechnology' was coordinated by Dr. Harishkumar Madhyastha, Assoc. Professor, Faculty of Medicine, University of Miyazaki; Dr. Ujwal P, Professor & Head, Dept. of Biotechnology and Dr. Venkatesh Kamath, Dept. of Biotechnology, NMAMIT.

The program was funded by the Japan Science & Technology Agency. 90 students of BE (Biotechnology) participated in this event.
