News from NUCSER | GOONJ 2K22

GOONJ 2K22, the annual Cultural Fest of NUCSER, was held with great fervor and enthusiasm at the University Auditorium, Paneer Campus on 16th & 17th June 2022. A formal function marked the inauguration of the cultural fest on 16th June, 2022 with Col. BS Ghivari, Asst. Director (Student Affairs), Nitte (DU) as the Chief Guest. The former Director of NUCSER, Prof. Indrani Karunasagar was also present as the guest of honour. 

Prof. Dr. Smitha Hegde, Dy. Director, NUCSER welcomed the gathering and spoke about the significance of Goonj. Col. Ghivari, in his speech, appreciated the talents of the students and remembered his days at the armed forces with some anecdotes on their cultural events. Mr. Faiz Hanif Shaikh President of the Student Council proposed the vote of thanks for the inaugural function. Prof. Dr. Anirban Chakraborty, Director NUCSER presided over the function. 

Following the formal function, the competitions for the individual and group events between the four groups namely RAAG, TAAL DHUN, SWAR were conducted. Day 1 included events such as Ice Breaker, Mad Ad, Movie spoof, Footloose, Mr. & Ms. GOONJ, Shazam and Mock press, where the talents of each group were on full display. On day 2, other events such as Face painting, Creative writing, Listen up, Debate, Costume designing, Wealth out of waste, Like minds and Treasure hunt were held. 

The event saw the participation of the entire student community and teaching and non-teaching staff of NUCSER.
