Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences and the Institution Innovation Council, Nitte DU organized a workshop on "Entrepreneurship Skill, Attitude and Behavior Development" on 3rd February 2024 at the University Auditorium, Paneer Campus, Deralakatte. The workshop started with invocation and lighting of the lamp in the presence of distinguished resource persons Dr. A P Achar, CEO of Atal Incubation Centre, Nitte, Karkala; Dr. Arun Isloor, Professor, NITK, Surathkal; Dr. G. Sriniketan, President-IIC (Nitte DU) and Dr. Fatima Dsilva, Principal, NUINS.
Dr. Fatima Dsilva, in her opening speech extended a warm welcome to the participants. Dr. Sriniketan urged the students to actively engage in innovative activities in healthcare. He invited the students and faculty, to avail the opportunities of the handholding facilities and expert guidance for ideation, problem solving, proof of concept development, design thinking, IPR, project handling & management at the pre-incubation/incubation stage, offered by the IIC Nitte DU, ATAL Incubation Centre at Nitte, Karkala and the Technology Enabling Centre DST NUTEC at Paneer campus.
The workshop dealt on a range of topics from ideation stage to commercialization. Both the experts Dr. Rao & Dr. Isloor offered valuable insights on the basic aspects of entrepreneurship and stressed the importance of developing congenial behavioral qualities, abilities and attitude that are crucial for aspiring entrepreneurs.
The participants had the opportunity to interact with the resource persons, seeking clarification on various aspects of skill development, attitude shaping etc that were discussed in the workshop.
A total of 95 students and 13 faculty members attended the program. Mrs. Prathima Sherigarthy, Coordinator, Student Innovation Club, NUINS concluded the program with the vote of thanks.
