Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course Conducted at NU-MEDISIM

he Department of Pediatrics, in association with the Indian Institute of Emergency Medical Services (IIEMS), Kottayam organized an American Heart Association (AHA) - accredited course on Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) at NU-MEDISIM on 9th & 10th February 2024. Prof. (Dr) Seema Pavaman S, HoD, Pediatrics served as the course coordinator and lead instructor. 19 delegates from KSHEMA, Gadag Institute of Medical Sciences, Manipal College of Health Professions and KVG Medical College & Hospital, Sullia participated in the workshop. 

The two-day program featured audio-visual simulation lectures, skill-based workstations and scenario-based practical sessions. It concluded with a written examination and simulation testing in various pediatric emergency situations, following which participants received certification.
