The Smart Village Innovation Launchpad, an Innovative Project Exhibition was organized by the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of Nitte (Deemed to be University) in collaboration with IIC, NMAM Institute of Technology on 12th April 2024 at Sadananda Open Air Auditorium, Nitte.
Dr. Gopal Mugeraya, Vice President (Technical Education), Nitte DU, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Accompanying him were guests Dr. G. Srinikethan, President, IIC, Nitte DU and Dr. Anantha Padmanabha Achar, CEO, Atal Incubation Centre, Nitte. The event was presided over by Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT. Dr. D.K. Sreekantha, Professor, Computer Science & Engineering and President, IIC, NMAMIT extended a warm welcome to the attendees, outlining the objectives and initiatives of IIC.
The release of the IIC Project Abstract showcased the selected projects that would serve as a testament to the participants' innovative spirit and vision for rural upliftment through technology. The dignitaries shared insights and words of encouragement, highlighting the pivotal role of innovation in addressing rural challenges and motivating the participants to pursue excellence with determination.
Members of the IIC Student Club were presented with their Club ID cards, acknowledging their contributions to the event. A panel of judges meticulously evaluated the 15 selected projects, selecting six as winners, based on their potential to bring about a meaningful change in rural communities. The winners were felicitated with Certificates and cash prizes.
Prof. Shanmukha Shetty delivered the vote of thanks. Ms. Geethika Bhat, President, IIC Student Club, was the Master of Ceremony.
