A free dental treatment, oral cancer screening and Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) camp was conducted at Famous Youth Club, Thokur on 31st May 2024, as part of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) program. A total of 32 patients underwent oral cancer and dental screenings during the camp.
Oral cancer awareness was provided by Dr. Sahana Maben, Clinical Coordinator, highlighting the harmful effects of tobacco, the influence of the tobacco industry on children, and preventive measures to protect them. Additionally, intern students performed a street play emphasizing the theme “Protecting Children from Tobacco Industry Interference”, engaging the community and reinforcing health education.
