The 14th Graduation Day of Nitte Institute of Speech & Hearing was celebrated at Avishkar Auditorium on 1st June 2024. This event marked the culmination of the B.ASLP program under Mangalore University. The ceremony was honored by the presence of the distinguished Chief Guest, Prof. P.L. Dharma, Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University.
Ms. Akhila Rahul served as the MC, and the welcome address was given by Ms. Shwetha, Principal, NISH. The graduates participated in the professional oath taking ceremony led by Prof. T. Dattatreya. Prof. P.L. Dharma addressed the gathering. Ms. Ishika Prasad spoke on behalf of the graduating batch, and Dr. Deepthi K.J. delivered the vote of thanks. The ceremony was attended by NISH students and faculty, as well as family and friends of the graduating batch.
The event featured the presentation of graduation certificates, 6th semester awards, and awards for clinical and overall excellence for the 2020-24 batch. Notably, Ms. Sinchana Hegde received the 6th Semester Topper award, Best Intern Audiology award, and Best Outgoing Student award, while Ms. Thamanna Fathima was honored with the Best Intern Speech-Language Pathology award. Additionally, 6 students were recognized for Distinction in the 6th semester.
