On 19th August 2024, Justice KS Hegde Institute of Management hosted a Guest lecture on the topic 'Designing an organization of the future: A new Agenda in HR leadership' by Mr. Edward Maben from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. There were around 26 students who attended the session along with Professors Dr. Mallikarjunappa and Dr. Sudhir Raj K.
Mr. Edward Maben spoke about various HR functions and how technology and leadership roles are integral in companies worldwide. He focused on the importance of workforce planning, employee retention, up-skilling, and reskilling the company's existing employees, performance evaluation, compliance management, etc. The lecture ended with a 1-hour interactive session, during which the students discussed and asked questions about the topic. During the interactive session, Mr. Edward Maben helped the students to understand the skills and expectations of future HR roles.
