A valedictory program was held for the first batch of six students from the University College of Copenhagen, Denmark under the Global Health Program on 20th September 2024 at the NUINS Learning Center, Paneer Campus.
Prof. Sujatha, HoD, Child Health Nursing, welcomed the gathering. The Danish students presented their 17-day comprehensive internship report. Chief Guest Dr. Suma Ballal, Dy. Registrar, Nitte University engaged with students and underlined the value of knowledge and cross-cultural interchange. Ms. Jincy KS, International Student Coordinator, proposed the vote of thanks.
The students were exposed to various clinical areas, such as the Skill lab, Operation Theater, pre and post-operative wards, ICU, Dialysis and Integrative Medicine during the training period. Students received hands-on experience in various areas of patient treatment.
The students visited the PHC at Natekal, Rural Psychiatric Center at Nitte Gajria Hospital, Nitte Satellite Center at Bailur, Geriatric Home at Olavina Halli, St. Agnes Special School, Mangalore and the Sharada Ayurvedic Center, Talapady. The students expressed their profound satisfaction about the high-quality training they received and were impressed and happy to learn about the rich and exciting Indian culture, traditions and variety of Indian cuisines.
