NMAM Institute of Technology (NMAMIT) has recently signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rakuten Enterprise India Limited, a leading Japan-based e-commerce and technology company, often referred to as the ‘Amazon of Japan.’ This partnership marks a new chapter in NMAMIT’s collaboration with global industry leadersenabling valuable knowledge exchange besides giving students access to cutting-edge research & world-class technology, particularly in AI applications. The efforts of the HoD and faculty of AI&ML have been widely appreciated for facilitating this strategic collaboration.
The Dept. of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI&ML) will be working closely with Rakuten on various projects. Currently, more than 10 undergraduates from the department are involved in ongoing projects with the company, which could potentially lead to future placement opportunities.

Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT, Prof. Harikrishna Bhat, Director - International Collaborations, Dr.Rekha Bhandarkar, Dy. Registrar, Off Campus Center, Nitte DU and representatives from Rakuten, including Aravind B. K., Talent Acquisition Leader from Rakuten India, Bangalore.
