News from KSHEMA | Breast cancer screening and awareness program

A breast cancer screening & awareness program was conducted by Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital for the staff of NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Nitte Institute of Communication on 2nd June 2025 at NGSMIPS.

Dr. Smitha Rao, Breast & Endocrine Surgeon, KS Hegde Medical Academy was the resource person for the session. 55 faculty participated in the program. The program included a one on one discussion with the staff about their understanding of breast cancer, methods to do self-breast examination and the kind of lumps that need clinical evaluation. They were briefed about the services available in Justice K S Hegde Hospital for the employees of the university.
