The Orientation program of Dr. Nitte Shankar Adyanthaya Memorial PU College, Mangaluru was held on 2nd June 2025 at the K S Hegde Auditorium, Deralakatte.
Speaking on the occasion Chief guest, Dr. Mohan Alva, Chairman, Alva's Education Foundation, Moodabidri said “Pre-university education plays a critical role in shaping a child’s future. It is important that parents actively engage with educational institutions. Nitte institutions, through quality education & competitive coaching prepare students for a challenging world. It is time we move away from the notion that all private educational institutions are merely commercial ventures. Today, private institutions prepare students not only for regular curriculum but also for competitive examinations. Presiding over the event, Shri N. Vinaya Hegde, Chancellor, Nitte University & President, Nitte Education Trust, said, "I dedicate the success of Nitte to my parents and teachers. God's blessings are essential for success in life. Learning is a continuous process, and we all remain students throughout our lives."
Dr. Sandeep Rai, Dean, K S Hegde Medical Academy highlighted the importance of discipline, commitment and a strong academic foundation during the pre-university years. He encouraged students to make the best use of the resources provided by the institution and to develop a scientific temper and critical thinking skills that are essential for future success in any field.
Principal Dr. Naveen Shetty K provided an overview of the college’s academic and extra-curricular achievements. He introduced the faculty and welcomed the freshers and their parents to the institution.
The event began with a prayer by Ms. Shreya & Ms. Aksha. Ms. Suman, Faculty & Program Coordinator welcomed the gathering. M.s. Shruti, Ms. Shilpa and Ms. Veena Ullal introduced the guests. Ms. Shakunthala Shetty proposed the vote of thanks and Ms. Sangeetha compered the program.
